Very poor customer service

I signed up for Verizon Wireless in January. I decided to join because my family and friends had switched to Verizon. Since day one, the service I have received is absolutely awful.

Verizon promised to move all my info from my old phone to my new phone. Well, that was a lie. They never did help me even though I went in to the store on 20 seperate occassions to ask for assistance.

In Feb, I dropped the phone and it broke. I contacted the insurance to replace my phone. They sent me a very cheap, very basic phone to replace the phone I broke which was an EnV. I fought with them for 2 weeks to get that resolved and finally got the phone I requested because I threatened them with a lawsuit.

Well, now I found out that I have a past due account included a late fee of $5. I called to find out why since I always pay my bill on time and they said I did not pay the July payment. However, I never received a bill in July and didn't realize it until the August bill came.

Well, needless to say, I called Verizon and they told me to file a report on my verizon and they would get back with me within 24 hours. Well, 48 hours later, I still had not received a responsse back. I sent another email and was told that they would credit me the $5 late fee but that was all they could do. I sent another email saying it was not my fault the bill did not get paid and that I wanted to be released from my contract.

I got another email back advising me that it was my fault for not paying the bill and there was no mention of my contract. I emailed back repeating that I wanted released from my contract and I am still waiting for a response.

My advice to anyone who is considering joining verizon wireless is: Do Not Do It!
