Walmart falsly accused me of stealing when i had a receipt and they did not ring up everything properly

I went on an annual fishing trip with 3 friends / customers an attorney an invester a commercial real estate property owner and myself self employed business owner electronics industry.

As soon as we got to the hotel i parted from the group to purchase a few gifts for the guys. I went directly to the fishing department and selected some cool matching hats and fishing vests. I paid for the the items at the counter in the fishing area and proceeded towards the front of the store.

As i got closer to the front of the store i passed several sections with neat items to fill the vest with as gag gifts. I selected beef jerky, candles, lighter, condoms, tissue paper, and other misc items as my hands began to fill with these items i made the decision to put them in the bag (first mistake) as i proceeded to check out i handed the cashier my receipt and informed her that the only items i had paid for were on this receipt she proceeded to ring up the additional items. I then paid a second time and proceeded towards the door when the buzzer went off, i stopped and backed up to the door man and handed him my receipt he glanced at them and instructed me to proceed that everything was ok. I said are you sure? He said yeah go ahead.

As i proceeded towards the door i was apprehended by an supposed ex gang member looking fellow with an attitude proud to have had the opportunity of arresting people another notch in his belt. I was completely suprised and bothered that someone could do this to me. The story goes on the police came it turns out that 17.00 worth of gag gifts were not properly entered by the cashier.

The police laughed under their breath and wrote me a ticket and i was released about an hour later after sitting in the security booth listening to the security/idiot employee bragging to his other associates about how he caught another one!!! What a joke! I i believe and feel like my rights as a citizen were violated and there was knothing i could do short of hiring an expensive attorney. I had to drive 14 hours back to chico court to handle this matter what a waste of time and money im extremely angry and ashamed of how walmart handled this matter. I want to file a joint lawsuit as i have read about several other honest citizens have been treated in a similliar fashion call asap lets get the ball rolling

Ps: walmart banned me from their stores and never even considered that my business purchases annually exceeded 5000.00 a year from there in the xmas season alone!!!
