Walmart Store
Items left at check-out

Miscellaneous

I'm still angry over this episode. Isn't it enough we have to put the items on the counter but now we have to depend on the teller to let us know that we still have items we haven't removed from their new bagging area.

This teller let me walk out with less than 1/2 of the $ spent on my purchases that day. She was busy watching someone else. So once home and discovering that I did not have all my purchases, I called the store (took me maybe 20 minues to get home and miss the items) and was told my items that I had paid for were at customer service. I figured I could walk in, show my receipt and get my bag.

Within 15 minutes (the time it took me to drive back to the store across town), I arrived back and went to customer service. There was a long line so I approached the teller and she went into customer service. Two items had been placed back on the shelves. This is items I had paid for not 35 minutes prior. I had to go and get the two items off the shelves once again. The other items were in baskets, ready to be returned to the shelves.

Is this normal procedure? I realize they probably have people who never return for items and may never realize they didn't get home with them. I did not appreciate the fact that I called and I went back as soon as I could, had to go out into the store for the items they had put back on the shelves, in record time I might add and had to drive an additional 15 miles to get what I had already paid for.

I'm still furious over this incident.
