RAIL ROADED and ripped off of my job that I was trying to do well

I was empolyeed with Wal-Mart as a Loss Prevention Officer. I am also a Retired Federal Police Officer from Washington D.C. I hired on with Wal-Mart on March 4th of this year, i had several good aprehentions during this time frame.

On May 18th of this year I made a stop on an individual that turned out as an un-productive stop. I followed two individuals who were walking around the store eating a bag of beef jerky, I watched the two suspects walk to where the soft drinks were and select two drinks, they then went to the front of the store and got in line at a register.

The leading person in line placed his items on the belt to be rang up. The second one kept his items in his hands, they never croosed the scanning device. At this time the leading person paid for his items and the cashier bagged them and he proceeded out the store. The second person took his items un bagged and in his hands and went back into the store and proceeded to walk down the main front isle.

When he reached the exit point at the General Mechandise entrance of the store, He threw down his Beef Jerky bag and attempted to leave the store. The door Greeter challenged him as he was leaving, suspect told the Greeter that he had no receipt and that a friend paid for his items. The door greeter told the person that she would let him go this time, but to have a recept next time. Once the suspect made it to the street, I challenaged the suspect for a receipt and he told me the same thing.

At this time i told the suspect i needed him to come back into the store. The suspect turned out to be a minor so the parents were called to come to the store. Once the parents arrived the were notified of the situation and the mother asked if she could go home and try to find the friends who might still have the receipts. Mean while the police were call because the policey states that we prosicute anything over $3.00

The mother returned and it was determined that the cashier doubled scanned the items, so there was no way i could of seen this. Wal-mart is no worried about A lawsuit and have removed me from Loss Prevention. They also are tring to offer me a lesser job as cashier, or stockman with a pay reduction of about three dollars an hour. I was also told that after things cooled off I might be placed back in loss prevention.

To me this sounds like there trying to sweep me under the rug. I have been a police officer most of my adult life.
