Chase Bank
Bad, bad, bad

Being a disabled 55 year old single female I chose Chase bank to be my bank.

After several months of having a savings acct, checking acct and a small credit card with Chase I noticed that I did not have any funds at the end of each month so there went my SSI check to live on for the month. I made sure that I didn't write any checks that was over the amount that I had in my checking acct. But each month I had to pay NSF charges.

One day I went into the bank knowing I had sufficient funds in the checking acct. (To supplement my monthly funds I have a Paypal acct which the Chase agent told me to cancel) so I called Paypal while sitting at the agent's desk asking them to transfer my money to my Chase checking acct. All was good with Paypal, they did as was asked, but Chase failed to tell me that my acct was negative which was not the day before.

The day before I had sufficient funds and never wrote any checks to negate that fact. But lo and behold Chase took all my money so I didn't have enough money to eat on and for gas the whole month. The next week I found another bank and then went back to Chase to close all my accounts. Chase said that they could not close them because I had a negative amount on my savings, checkings, and credit card account so I have to wait till the end of next month to pay Chase and have my accounts closed at that time. After reading alot of the comments from ripoff report about Chase I am glad I found another bank so I can have some money next month. Even my atty told me that Chase is the worst bank to have.
