Net Detective
TOTAL rip off

I should have known better than to try a service like this, but I was sucked in by this website: http://consumers-guides.org/onlineinvestigationreviews/? Gclid=CLao486ykpUCFQGbnAod-nBhfQ that seemed legitimate enough, and claimed that Net Detective was a good product.

The truth was Net Detectives was a total scam. I actually found LESS information out through their website, and a $29 fee, than I did on my own with a Google search. The worst part is every link you click brings up a window with your credit card information saved into it, wanting you to spend extra money to get more services. Thankfully I never signed up for additional products as I quickly realized I'd been completely ripped off.

The only thing they will give you for free is a list of possible addresses and phone numbers that you can get through Google, Yahoo or the phone book anyway.in fact I'd already got this basic information on the person I was searching prior to signing up, and when I entered their info into Net Detective, I didn't get any information, so I was better off before I'd even tried on there!

I am going to try and get my money back through the link I got from another review I saw on here: http://www.hdpublishinggroup.com/refund / I don't know if it will do any good but it's worth a try. My main concern is if they try and charge me again, or for other products, seeing as this is a total scam I don't know what to think. Even their refund request that you have to print out and mail in, is full of positive reviews from "customers" as if that will make you change your mind, after seeing with your own two eyes what a rip off it is!

A lesson learned for me, I won't be signing up for anything without doing some investigation of my own first.
