Is a scamming outfit and not a reputable company. Are they anyone out there willing to investigate their lying practices, and cause them to be disciplined for their actions to their customers

I am also another victim of Dirtectv. When I ordered Directv/DVR I was told of all of the free instulation I would be getting and a (30) day free trial period, and a (90) day warrenty. I decided that I did not care for Directv's features or program guide, and to record programs was the biggest one. If a program you want to record comes on three times a day Monday thru Friday, then you cannot change it, your choice is, do a lot of deleting, or watch it live.

Well, like every one else that was a victim of what they call "An early cancellation fee". So after (12) days I cancelled with directv and was hit with a bill for $487.00. When I called them, I was told they do not have a (30) day free trial, and with a DVR I was contracted for (24) month's.

After continued phone call conversations, e-mails, they were not going to budge. I called a "Consumer Attorney" and it would cost me $250.00 an hour for there services. So that was out, so I told Directv, that I was was in my (30) day free trial and I was not paying this bill. After a few weeks I was turned into a Collection Agency, and if the bill was not paid, then they would put a Judgement against me. To keep from paying the $487.00 I had to reinstate with them for the (24) month period. It is so sad that a company like this has to lie, & cheat to get customers.
