Misrepresented themselves and trapped me into a subscription

I received a call on my cellular about the $1000.00 shopping spree and i was told that i could get magazines for a low price... I am foreigner and i explained to the phone lady that i didn't understand the specific as to the payment been consecutive... Was the $49 dollars every month? Every 3 months? She told me every 3 months... That sounded ok, so i went along with the recording not understanding what i was agreeing to. I was silly to trust the operator, because less than 30 days after the initial payment i was sent an invoice for $49 dollars.

I called them straight away to cancel the subscription, and then it was hell... They were charging my card event though i asked them to stop... After a few months i had to close my account.

Now i have a collection agency... Telling me they have better than a contract. They have my voice agreeing to these charges... Of course the beginning of my conversation with the operator isn't recorded where she tells me that the charges are every 3 months!!! Since then they have been trying to get $700 from me, and they are threatening me to take me to court...
