NFL Sunday Ticket Blacked Out, $128 Refund Refused

I first purchased NFL Sunday Ticket in 1998 for one reason only: to watch my home team play every Sunday. I had no problems in 1998, and when the bill came to automatically renew my subscription in 2000, I decided to let it go and get the service again. What I did not know was that the NFL had changed the blackout restrictions to include me. When I sat down to watch the first game, I was looking at a blank screen that I had just paid $128.00 for.

Now, I know that this was not Directv's decision and that is not my problem with them. My problem was when I told them that I wanted to cancel my subscription and get a pro-rated refund, and they refused. They said that they could turn it off but could not refund any money. So in my eyes, Directv charged me $128.00 for a service that they could not provide me, and after filing two complaints with the BBB and the CPA, I got no satisfaction. So to all football fans, beware Sunday Ticket!
