Filed and erroneous Lawsuit Dallas, Texas

On april 10 I was issued a summons naming the plaintiff as Portofolio Recovery Assoc, LLC Assignee of Providian National Bank.

I pray to God that this is as I read on the web that these people are running a scam. After much research I have learned that while I did once have a Providian Credit Card that even if I had quit paying them and Portfolio bought offf the debt there was no Assignment Letter between these two companies.
Therefore, Portfolio was a liar. Also, I have no agreement in place with Portfolio for credit.

I am presently discussing this with an attorney and I pray to God that this is true. And the fact that they have filed erroneous paperwork with the courts not to mention broken Federal Laws by constantly calling me and threatening to sue me prior to me changing my phone number to unlisted. I may have the right to sue them... Wish me luck!
