Will not honor warranty or promises made to me when I tried to resolve failing product

I had SmartCoat applied to the trim of my home in Missouri in May. Over about two years, it started to peel and flake in a few areas and I contacted LifeTyme to honor their lifetime warranty. The ignored all of my inquires (phone and email) until I got their local BBB involved a few months later.

At that time they sent me standard forms to document the issues. They took several months to tell me, in a letter from their attorney, that they will not honor the warranty as they are in a lawsuit with the company that applied the coating to my home.

I asked them how this could be as the warranty letter I have is from the LifeTyme company in MA and signed by them, not the third party. They never responded to my inquiry. I got the BBB involved, again, and they then promptly responded that they would send me a gallon of product so I could fix the areas at my own expense. (I suggested this as a remedy as I figured they would never honor their warranty without a lawsuit by me.)

They never sent anything nor did they respond to my direct inquiry as to why. So, I got the BBB involved, again, and they promised to send me something within a week. I never saw it in four weeks. I again asked the BBB to follow up and they were ignored for a month, too!

Finally, they came back, after the BBB threatened to terminate their account with them, telling the BBB, and me, that I am not a customer of theirs. The BBB thus closed the case.

I've rebutted this information as I have plenty of proof I am, indeed, a customer, but now I'm taking addition actions, including this, to get the word out that this is not a reputable company.
