Don't Miss a Payment

If you think moving is a nightmare, don't even think of missing a payment. Then, you're treated like a criminal!
I have had my Slomins account for over 10 years. Last December, I sent in payment, but foolishly, did not follow up that it was received.in February of this year, I received a letter from the attorney's office of Eichenbaum and Stylianoli concerning the account. It was a collection notice for the amount of $900. I immedietly contacted Slomins Customer Service, and was transferred to the voicemail of a collections person, who never returned my call. I called a second time, and did speak to someone in collections, who I want to say was very rude.

This rude person told me it was out of their hands, and to direct all calls to the attortney. She also told me that Slomins had contacted me by phone back in December, which they never did. I then contacted the attorneys office, explained the situation, and was told I would receive a call back, which I did. Slomins would re-instate the account for the amount of $354. If I sent a personal check, the re-instatement would take 28 days to insure clearing of the check. But if I sent a money order, certified check or cash via Western Union, my service would be re-instated in a week. I sent the cash via Western Union two weeks ago, and still do not have service.

When I contact Slomins, I am very rudely told to contact the attorney. When I contact the attorney, they now cannot give me a re-instatement date, I'm told the attorney's office contacts Slomins only once a month, but nobody seems to know when that is. My last phone call was with someone in the collections department at Slomins, who actually told me that he tried to get in touch with the attorney's office, but couldn't get through. I gave him my contact #, he put me on hold for a minute, then got back on the line, and said he couldn't do anything for me. There is no such thing as customer service any more, it's all for the company, not the customer!
