On Feb. 18 I took my daughter to a Dr.'s appt.in Tallahassee, Fl. While there I decided to call a friend of mine in order to eat lunch with her. Her office number was a 1-800 number so I stopped to a store to use the pay phone (I did not have a cell phone at the time and no change on me) when I called her office she was not at her desk so while I was on the phone I decided to call her cell number. I had my debit card with me so I didn't think anything of it when I decided to use my card.
The first time I used it I dialed 1-912 and a male answered the phone and I told him "Sorry I have the wrong number" then I dialed the correct number 1-229 and her voice mail came on so I left a brief message. The next day I checked my bank account and I had two charges on my phone for $20.84 each which totals $41.68. That really made me upset, I called the company office and was provided a fax number and was told to write a statement to the dispute office, I immediately did it and that was 2/21/08 and I have yet to hear anything back from that office.
I informed them in my dispute that if I had known I was going to be charged almost $42.00 and I did not even really talk to anyone I would have went into the store that I was right in front of and got money from the ATM and used that damn phone for. 50 cent. This company is the worst company that I have ever heard of and I plan to contact the better business bureau and any other agencies I can because companies like this does not need to be in business. Thanks Mad as Hell!
