Cell Phone Fraud - Sold our number to T-Mobile

My husband and I went into a Sprint store 2 months ago to get new cell phone and to switch from Nextel to Sprint (which is now the same company, so it should have been really easy). We picked out our new Sprint phones and were told we were all set to go and i numbers would not switch over until the next day (which was the first sign we should have realized something was wrong).

Of course the next day our numbers did not switch over and we still had temporary numbers for a month. We both called numerous times trying to get our numbers back to no avail.

Than one day we got a T-Mobile bill in the mail with our number on it and an $80 charge. Keep in mind we had never even been in a T-Mobile store before. It finally turns out that the Sprint salesman sent our numbers over to T-Mobile (which apparently his friend worked at) and made $ off of them. This is something he had been doing for a long time, and he would normally get the numbers sent back and assigned to the correct phones. But in our case the sales rep quit before the second half of this process, which led to chaos. Sprint never helped us resolve this.

WE had to go to T-Mobile to try to get our numbers released, WE had to go to the T-Mobile store to try to get the contract (that we never signed) figured out-which is still going on, by the way-, WE spent hours on the phone with Sprint and in the Sprint store trying to work this out. They are supposed to pay for our first months bill but we have yet to hear anything about that. It's been tons of fun (note the sarcasm). If anyone has an suggestions on how we can be compensated or how we can finally get this issue resolved, i would love to hear it.
