Falsified Handy man and Auto skills. Requested cash upfront for needed supplies/parts. Became No-Show and he blocked phone calls

Handy man knocked on my door asking to do my yard. He described himself as having a good reputation and everyone's favorite handyman in the neighborhood. We drew up a contracat of odds and ends work I needed. He gave me a price of $475. I told him to come 3 days later on pay day because I didn't a have cash. He came 3 days later. He requested $340.00 in cash up-front for supplies. He took off. Came back another day. He was unable to do the job. (to install 2 new toilets I already had for 2 bathrooms). He came again the following day. He said the toilets gave him lots of trouble to install. Then, he became interested in an BMW parked outside my front yard. He wanted me to sell it to him and wanted to know what was wrong with it. I told told him it was not for sale. He voluteered to fix it for $150. The clutch was touching bottom. He claimed he was a mechanic also and could do anything and he wanted to be my handyman and assured me good work, and was honest. I said OK. On Saturday, I had to cash my check and paid him the rest of the contract money plus the $150. To fix my BMW. He said he didn't ahvae anymore receipt slips and would come later and finish off. All this time, he had access to my house with an extra key. He never returned. Now, I can't find the key to the BMW and I have not heard from him except through a call he returned with a blocked cell number to tell me he didn't show up anymore because he had 2 flat tires and would return later. He did not return or ever call back. Because I can't find my BMW keys, I will file a police report. The rest of the money is history. I guess!
