Another Extended Warranty Ripoff

I purchased a printer from Sams Club last year and purchased the extended warranty. It's a scam. After my printer died after only one year, I made a claim on that extended warranty. The company Cyber test sent me a refurbished printer that was very used, it was not the same model and with no software for installation. I called them and they said they don't supply the software for the printers that they send out. Really, they don't send the software - they informed me that I have to write the company that makes the printer to get the software... You know, the drivers that make the printer work. Is that hilarious?

To add to this wonderful experience, the manual and documentation was all waded up. Very sloppy and telling because, guess what, on top of all that, the printer was defective. I tried printing a test sheet from the printer and it would not pick up paper in the rollers.

Save yourself the aggravation of extended warranties connected to the company called Cyber Test. They are offered at Sams Club and probably many other places. Just ask before you buy.

By the way, there is no recourse. Sams club absolves itself of any responsibility regarding the extended warranty between the customer and the extended warranty company.

But, they are sure glad to sell you on it and take your money.
