Dura-Bull Dog Bedz advertises their dog beds as "a virtually indestructible dog bed." This is their selling point - that these beds are tough. Not only that, every page in the website says "Best Guarantee in the Industry. If you are not satisfied with your dog bed, send back for a refund." (Note: you have to click on that icon to go to another page where you can read the proverbial "small print").

I purchased 4 of these flimsy beds. Two were completely destroyed after only 8 hours. The other two lasted another night (8 more hours). I returned all 4 of them - which I had spent $356 for - within the first 10 days. The proverbial "small print" details for the "Best Guarantee in the Industry" mentioned above was referred to me on an e-mail through a link after the fact, and it said that the dog beds need to be returned in perfect condition for a refund to be issued. What kind of guarantee is that? What do they guarantee the dog beds to be? Dust-proof? Or chew proof? If chew proof, then they must put their money where their mouth is.

Dura-Bull Dog Bedz kept the beds after I returned them AND kept my money. I am a pretty understanding person and would be open for some kind of agreement or negotiation. However, there was no offer for a partial refund, exchange, or another form of agreement. No effort from the manufacturer at all for customer service. Oh, and their phone number to speak to a "Live Person" has only had an answering machine every time I called. Though I left messages every time I called, my calls were never returned.

If they are going to use the phrases "virtually indestructible dog bed" and "virtually chewproof dog bed" as their selling card, why should they not put their money where their mouth is? Instead now they hide behind their so-called "Best Guarantee in the Industry" that says that their warranty is only good as long as everything is functioning well. If a dog bed is returned in a less than perfect condition, their warranty is void because they claim that it was your dog's fault!

I have bought dog beds at dog shows before that cost me $30 a piece and lasted 18 months. PLUS, they guarantee that if your dog destroys it in the first year, you get a FREE replacement or your money back. These Dura-Bull Dog Bedz cost me $79 a piece and lasted for 8 hours. I was foolish to read, "If you are not satisfied with your dog bed, send back for a refund" without clicking on the icon fo the "small print" details on the next page, which shows that this "Best Guarantee in the Industry" is a SHAM.

They have some so-called testimonies at their website. If they are true testimonies, I would doubt that those dogs would be chewing any other dog beds anyway. That is my guess and speculation based on my own experience.

Dura-Bull Dog Bedz has already updated and changed a few things in their website since my complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I would not be surprised if more changes take place in the next few days; afterall, they must cover their tracts. Fortunately I have saved screen shots and printouts of their entire website as it was when I purchase the products. From seeing the way they have dealt with me, I know that I am not their first victim. I may be the first that knows how to fight back, however. I would like to know others out there who have fallen victims of this RIPOFF.

Please do not buy these beds if your dog is a chewer. I would recommend these beds only if you have non-chewing dogs. But then - who in the world would want to buy a not-so-comfortable, kind-of-tough, not-too-pretty dog bed for $79? That is pretty pricey for a little teacup poodle that can't do chewing damage. Their warranty is a joke and they will keep your money and your dog bed. Do not deal with these people.

My main problem with this company is that their advertisement for the "virtually indestructible dog bed" and "best guarantee in the industry" are so misleading. Had they tried to work with me and made an effort in customer service, I would have just said, "hey - that is a nice bed for other kinds of dogs but not for my bulldogs. Sure, this DOG BED has its place in the market." But this COMPANY does not have a place in the market - not by operating in such sneaky and deceptive ways.

If any developments occur in either positive or negative ways, I will update this post to fairly document the current problem I have with Dura-Bull Dog Bedz.
