Cingular Telephone And Anderson Financial Network
Not meeting requirements of soldiers and sailors relief act and then not crediting money paid

In August I contracted with cingular telephone for cell service @ Ft Leaven worth KS. I was going to be at school until December and they told me it was their corporate policy to release soldiers from their contracts when they recieved orders to move. I recieved this order on or about 12 DEC and notified their local office who said there would be no problem. The contract should have ended this day.

In February I recieved a bill from Cingular for the remainder of my contract. I contacted their collections department and explained the situation. They said they would get back to me if it were not resolved. I did not hear from them again.

In Sept i was trying to buy a home and found a bill on my credit report for this account. I called the Cingular who would not speak to me and referred me to Anderson Financial whom I then called. They would not work with me and were holding me hostage for the money so I could close on my house. My Escrow companys resolution was if i would pay 50% I could close on the house. I paid $453.00 to Anderson Financial through the escrow account on 19 September.

I am again trying to purchase house. It appears that the whole amount is back on my credit report. Cingular has assigned the debt to a different collection agency and i have not recieved any credit for the money i paid on an account I didnt owe in the first place.
