Retail Store Illegally Requiring You To Show Your License

I bought 3 items of clothing in Fashion Bug 2 months ago, I paid cash.
I returned the items, with the receipt. I was asked for my drivers license, I asked why?
I was told I could not get the refund unless I gave them my license. I took my cell phone out that has video, and picture capabilities. I took pics of their return policy located right in front of me. I told the associate that I was not aksed for my license when I purchased these items, why am I being asked now.
I then stated to her it was illegal for her to do so, I then told her I would pull up the Mass/Gov site so she could see for herself. I know most people would comply, but I'm not one of them. I have no idea what they do with my license info. If I paid by CC or check, then yes. I paid by cash, she then abandoned the stores fake policy, and just gave me my money back.
Don't let a store employee bully you into anything you feel is not right. I do not give out my telephone info either when they ask.
