I contracted Nexmove to move personal items from my father's house in Broomall, Pennsylvania to my house in Littleton, Colorado after his death. I used a broker service named Oversized Parcel Service (866-780-9101)— they are in Tennessee. On 4/5/07, I contacted Nexmove, spoke to Kevin Sweet at the number listed above. I sent a check for $1827.50 to Nexmove.

They picked the items up on April 14. At that time, they agreed that delivery to Colorado would be in 7-21 days, which I also agreed to. As of this writing (8/27/07), I still don't have my items, and numerous calls to Nexmove, which are detailed below, have been fruitless in getting Nexmove to deliver them. I have tried to call them this past week after another Nexmove-initiated deadline passed, and found that the number has been disconnected.

As I described above, all I want it my stuff. Some of the items are of huge emotional value, and some are of great monetary value as well. If someone can find the items, I am more than willing to drive it back to Colorado myself. It's supposedly all palletized, ready for delivery. Obviously, I'd like Nexmove to pay me for that move in the form of refunding my money, but I'm sure that's not going to happen.

Phone calls to Nexmove in attempts to get a delivery date:
5/17 — Called Nex Move. One truck broke down, other is in MIchigan. Obviously only two trucks. On the board for sometime in the next two weeks. Call Monday for update.

6/1 — Called Nex Move, talked to Kevin. Truck supposedly in the Midwest next week. Bob, dispatcher, supposed to call me today with info.

6/15 — Called Nex Move, talked to Kevin at about 8:00a. Said he'd call back in half an hour, didn't. Called again at about 11:30 or so, got Bob. Kevin was was out to lunch. Tried to call at 12:30 and 1:45, no answer.

6/25 — Got Kevin, promises that it will be out by Wednesday (on the truck for delivery).

6/28 — 8:14a got Bob, Kevin not available. Kevin to call back in an hour after checking with dispatcher. Update — didn't get back to me.

6/29 — 8:15a Got Kevin. He said Bob (NOT Bobby) is supposed to call me. I think he's the dispatcher. "You're my priority, my man."

7/12 — talked to Bob the dispatcher. Said he will send it in 10 days.

8/13 — called the number, it's been disconnected.

I've filed complaints with the BBB of Clearwater, USDOT, and Florida Dept of Consumer Services. I'm hoping someone here can help me figure out what to do next.
