Orion truck never arrived. Forced to drive my 2 bdrm apt myself at added expense

I contracted with Nicole Staci of Orion Van Lines in May to move my 2 bedroom household from Brooklyn, NY to Madison, WI.

On moving day, July 31st, the subcontracted truck (they use subcontractors) never arrives. The driver never even calls. Dispatcher Kevin Scott tells me that the truck has broken down and finds another driver who soon gets picked up by DOT and won't pick us up either. A day later, my landlord wants me out so the new tenant can move in. Kevin is flummoxed and has no more suggestions, no options and is totally obviously out of his element once issues arise.

I rent a 17' truck and hire 5 day laborers. I drive the 960 miles without so much as an apology from Orion Van Lines. Two weeks later my deposit money is returned with no note of apology.

Bottom line... I would suggest that you look elsewhere if you need a company who is able to navigate issues and fulfill their obligations. Look for a company who won't hide behind the small print of their contract.
