Ripoff $75 for flowers sent to wrong address

I wanted to send a nice condolence bouquet so I spent $75 over the phone on flowers. I chose a boutique flower shop ONE block from my friend's house. The owner said she had delivered to the same address before. I gave her the correct address and phone. Since it was a condolence I didn't want to pester my friend but two weeks later I was there for a visit (it's one state away) and they said they never got the flowers. The Ownwer claims the driver left a note and called saying the flowers were delivered across the street. But my friends received no call and no note. Why the neighbors (who they don't know) kept the flowers, is a mystery. They live at the top of a hill, so we guess the driver did not want to climb the stairs. Probably that's why he took them across the street (very busy) instead of next door to neighbors they do know. Anyway, she was not the least concerned that the bouquet didn't get to the customer. So I'm out $75 and I will never send flowers to anybody again.
