Took unauthorized credit card payment after sevice cancellation ripoff

What should be the happiest day of my life is ruined because of Status Limosene. On may 17, my fiance' and decided to call a limo service out of Buffalo, New York. According to the contract, which was verbally agreed to over the phone. My fiance' would authorize a single deposit payment of $200, leaving the $400 balance to be paid two weeks prior to my July 28th wedding.

Well, we decided to cancel on July 21st. My fiance' called and left a voicemail on their answering machine. So, imagine our horror when I check over all the last minute wedding finances-rental hall, DJ, Church, and find they violated their own contract and took out my fiance's money NOT 2 weeks prior but 3 days before, all doing so without his authorization.

When he spoke to a rep. They told him "you don't wanna lose your money, do you", to which he said yes. He was prepared to lose the initial $200 deposit. The owner then told him he could get him the $200 deposit back, but not the $400-why would a business give back the first deposit payment and keep the illegal second? Easy, it's the bigger sum. My fiance' contacted our bank and will fill out a form to contest the charge.

By the way, lemme tell you the "discount" package they would've stuck us with - 3 to 6 P.M. July, 28th, $600! And that was AFTER the "20% discount". Now you know why we cancelled.

We are prepared to take this to court if need be this company and it's sinister agenda must be stopped so no other couples go through this. I will calling the NYS Attorney General's office today. This is an ongoing story and I promise to update the situation as time permits.
