Impossible to reach customer service ripoff

I went into the Cricket Wireless store in June to open a new account. I was switching from Sprint and I wanted to keep my Sprint number. The staff at the Cricket store took my money and gave me a phone, but I was told that I would have to call a seperate department to have my Spring phone number ported to my Cricket account.

I called the portal number several times and I was left on hold for over 30 minutes before I gave up and ended the calls. I went home and called the portal number using my speakerphone and I was on hold for over an hour before someone came on the line to get my information. The employee took my information and told me that the portal process typically takes four hours. She did say that it can take up to 48 hrs. She went on to tell me that I would have to call the portal number back to complete the process.

I have called the portal number back several times for two weeks and I was left on hold for no less than 45 minutes each time. Once a rep got on the phone I was told that the process was still pending and to call back.

I got sick of sitting on hold and I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor got on the phone and he was unable to help resolve the problem, he was rude and when I asked to speak to his boss he refused to give me any further information. I repeatedly asked for the corporate office phone number and he refused to give it to me. He refused to give me his employee number or any other way to file a complaint on him.

This company is a joke. Why are they expanding to new marketplaces when they can't handle what they have? I finally gave up on getting my Sprint number and after reading the many complaints on this page I expect to never see my rebate and they will probably keep charging me after I terminate this account.
