I also had issues with Davids Bridal. My wedding is July 4th. I first went into Davids Bridal 6 months ago at the Park Meadows location to buy my dress. First of all, I made my appt by filling out the online form. Two days after I did, I started getting sales calls. When I complained, they denied selling my information. I filled out that information again, using a different e-mail and the name Jenniefre Lopez and used my back up cell number. I started getting the same sales calls for Jennifer Lopez proving that they did give out my cell. When I brought it up, they told me that they do have "authrized partners or companies" that they "share information with. I informed them that this was NOT ok since one of the companies, was a known scam that pretends to give away honeymoon prizes to lure you to a time share situation and another one was a pots and pans scam. I recently had to change my number because although they said they removed my information, I was getting up to 15-20 calls a day from Mary Kay people, and various other Bridal related companies!

Anyway, back to the dress. When I got there, they were short handed, and I had to share a girl. SHe would only let me try on 4 dresses. I did not like any of those and when I asked to try on more, I got attitude. She told me the dresses I wanted were not in my size and made no attempt to find them elsewhere. I tried on a dress I liked that was smaller so that I could order it which was my idea not hers. I still was not happy and really had to work at getting them to let me try on more! I felt so uncomfortable and pressured at that point I just wanted to get out of there. I found a dress that I thought was ok and they ordered it in my size and color. 2 months later the dress came in. WHen I tried it on, I was not happy with the color or the fit. Since I had moved to Aurora, I brought my dress in there to exhange, as I was told that I could do that. They gave me such attitude when I did that and really questioned me about my wedding, I felt, because they were making sure I didn;t already get married. Plus I did not have an appt. And although they had time to help me, lectured me about the appt. The girl I got again, would only let me try on 4 dresses. She said she had another person coming in and so once again, I was pressured into making a decision. THe dress I chose, again, was in white and she went and got me an ivory and bagged it. When I got it home, I swear it was the same color as the white even after I told her I wanted a darker ivory or more like a champagne. PLUS, that dress fit me different even though it was the same size. I had showed her the dresses I liked at that time and she told me they did not make those dresses in my size. (I am a 14-16 because I have a 36DD breast size) I found out when I got home, that they made those dresses in up to size 24!!! SO, when my mom came in town, she said we were going back to get the dress I had wanted from day one. WHen we went back the manager was so rude to us. SHe lectured use about this being the LAST time I could exchange a dress. My mom and 2 jr bridesmaids were there to try on dresses too, and they were so rude to them that my mother cancelled their fittings on the spot. SHe wanted me to go somewhere else as well, but when she found out that they dont take returns, she mellowed out and tried to help me find a dress. Of course, the ones I wanted from day one were not in stock and there was NO time to order them anymore. SO once again, I would have to choose something I didn't like. After 4 dresses we had not found what we wanted. Again, we met with resistance and attitude when we just went and grabbed more dresses. Finally I found one that was suitable. The neck clasps were worn and dirty from people trying it on which they assured me would be fixed during altertions which they neglected to mention would be at our expense! WHen I got the dress home I cried because I just knew that it wasnt "the one" and I didn't have any choices. My mom tooke me to Priscillas the next day in Cherry Creek and found my dream dress. Priscillas went out of there way to help me make a dress 2 sizes to small, fit by getting me a tailor who did the altertions for the cost they discounted me from buying the sample dress which was also an exception. So I got a custom fit dress for the same price as the ticket. They even contacted Watters who called me and said that if the tailor couldn't make it work or if there were any problems, they would custom make me a dress in under a week at no extra charge!!! It occured to me how bad Davids Bridal was at that point. Priscillas, a high end brial boutique went out of their way to make me happy, and Davids Bridal, a low end chain treated me like dirt.

I now have to put my dress on ebay like everyone else on there who wasn't happy. I have left several messages for the district manager and she hasn't called me back. THe people at Watters returned my call in 18 hours. I spent $1200 on my dream dress but have $600 tied up in Davids Bridal gowns an accessories that all don't go because each dress I bought, I bought the suggested stuff and they took none of it back.

I really think that they need to take my stuff back. I am not happy and had to buy a $1200 gown just because I didn't want to EVER go back there. I had to change my phone number because of the sales calls. I have spent hours of wasted time because if them so I think they can at least take my dress back!
