Told I could cancel... Lie

Shops, Products, Services

So about two week ago I was contacted by this company. They told me I was entered into some million dollar sweepstakes. Being 18, this was my first telemarketer conversation. It just so happens they contacted me on my cellphone. Being the naive person I am, I assumed it was legitamate, as I didn't know telemarketers are allowed to call your cellphone.

So I signed up for their rediculous promotion thinking, "okay whatever." I was told multiple times during the first day that I could cancel at any time but please to take into mind that they do pay for my order in advance. The next day my car died, so I forced to buy a new one. Well I now have a new car bill and can no longer afford their wopping $65.52 payments.

I continuily called Omnipresent at the number they contacted me with and left multiple messages with my name and number. No one called me back. A few days later I finally recieved the package, 4 sheets of paper, I was promised.

After recieving the 'package' I dialed the Customer Serivce number to request a cancelation. I did so just to be told, "NO". Much to my surprise I was told that the agents don't tell you you can cancel. Hmm? Does that make sense? Is this company two faced? After repeated circling with the agent, he talked to his surpervisor and was able to reduce my payments by half along with how long the service lasted. I plan to call back tomorrow or even later on today to see what else I can get done.

If you recieve a call from this company -HANG UP!
