Cancelled service after contract was over but getting billed Scottsdale Arizona

Electronics and household app.

I emailed T-Mobile in Sept and received a reply that I had fullfilled my contract on 12/24. So when I wanted to cancel my service in April the customer service person talked me into keeping the phone number I had at a cost of $10 a month for 90 days, in that 90 days if I decided not to keep the number I would call back and officially cancel. She made it clear that I needed to call in that time to cancel or it would revert to the old contract rate.

So on 6/18/07 I called and told the customer service person that I need to cancell my service. Again they tried to keep me (because I'd been a good customer for so long she said) but I said no please cancel today and she said that it would take 30 days from that date to cancel (all conversations have been noted as to dates, times and names). I don't know what else I could of said, I was as blunt as I could of been. Cancel my service and she said it would take 30 days, why would she have said it will take 30 days to make it thru their system if I was suppose to call back???

So imagine my surprise when today i get a bill for the original contract rate of $29.99 for service from 6/20-7/21/07. I called thinking it was an oversight, but no I'm told that the "note" their customer service person recorded on 6/18/07 indicated I needed to call back again to cancel (which was not the conversation we had).

So today, my third phone call to them, I was told I not only will owe the bill I just recieved which is $34.10 (not the $10 for 90 days) I will also owe the amount from 7/18 thru today as a prorated charge since they cancelled me effective today. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told that there would be no supervisor they are handle all of these issues. I'm an honest person and own up if I am in the wrong, but in this case they are wrong and I'm angry that they can take advantage like this.
