True.com
Ripoff Missleading cancellation button

Shops, Products, Services

True.com is a dating website that hides behind the user agreement when confronted with their missleading website. After clicking on the "cancel subscription" button, you are taken to a site that tells you the account will be suspended. This actually means that after one month of hibernation your credit card will be charged for another month's subscription. The only way to cancel is to call in and cancel by phone. Last I checked "cancel" meant no more charges. There is no reason why the account could not be canceled by internet other than it is another way to squeeze money from a dissatisfied customer.
