On 9-23, we purchased a new Citizen EcoDrive watch for $250.00 from the University Mall Zales only to find the bezel had been previously damaged & then buffed out leaving tell tale swirls patterns in the glass.

Upon returning it, we were told to go the Internation Plaza Zales for another one. We did purchase one as the second location, but it cost $310.10. We were assured we would not find a better price anywhere and if we did find a better price in the next 90 days, Zales would refund our money. I was careful to specify that this would be a return & not an exchange ans was assured we would get our money back.

On 12-19, approximately 100 feet across the walkway from Zales, we inadvertantly found the same watch for just over $100 less, not including the sale discount that was going on.

We went to Zales to return the watch and were first told no returns after 30 days. This is their written agreement, but we were given the verbal agreement due to the trouble we had already had. The sales staff then tried to coerce us in stating that something was wrong with the watch. When we went over the situation, for the third time, I was told by the store manager, Sabina Peters, that it was not her fault I couldn't read either my reciept or the sign out front.

My fiance was extremely loud & asking if they were going to abide by their agreement as he felt he was being taken advantage of. Directly behind him were a couple looking at rings with another sales rep. They asked her what was going on and she told them to ignore my fiance as he was crazy & used the twirling finger by the temple gesture. The customers weren't too pleased by this lack of customer service and left.

The sales rep, Donna, decided to interject herself into our conversation anfter having called mall security.
During this time, I asked the reps repeatedly for their corporate office phone number & the name of their district manager. They refused for the first few minutes until I pointed out that we would be able to leave once we received the requested information. They proceeded to give me a false name & number as I found out later.
As we were leaving, my fiance (who never was violent or using foul language) kept announcing extremely loudly that he would never shop at Zales again & was going to tell everyone he knows & comes into contact wiht that Zales lies & does not abide by their agreements.
Donna then yelled back that it wasn't her fault we didn;t do our homework and waved her arm over her head. She then proceeded to follow us into the mall proper yelling the same things and making a bigger scene until her security detail showed up. We were informed by Tampa Police Department that we had done nothing wrong, and it is the stores perogoitive to "trespass" customer from their locations for any reason.

I have been trying to get a call back from their Corporate officem who told me it be 2-3 business days. It has now been 5 business days.
