Promise to cancel within 30 days ripoff

I was told that I could call and cancel my subscription if unhappy within 30 days. The telephone number I have is for a fax machine, 727-538-1766 ext. 2295. I am disabled and a widow, live on a fixed income and I received a bill saying that I still owe the company $268.32.$268.32 is almost one half of what I get a month from Social Security for my disablity. Can anyone help me stop this amount from being taken out of my checking account? When it has been taken out of my checking account, how can I get refunded for this amount.
