Cingular, Formerly At&t Wireless ldg Financial Services, ripoff

Cell phone service was picked up by alltell in may. Had no idea this had happened ubtil i received a bill. First bill was as usual (formerly at&t customer for years.) second bill was astronomical! Called little rock office to get explanation. Rep. Was very rude and of no help. Then called at&t, got the same attitude from them. Went to cingular office to get help. The rep shutoff alltell connection which i COULD NOT ACCOMPLISH ON THE PHONE WITH BOTH CO. Mentioned above. Sent final payment of bill as per instructed by rep. At cingular for my normal amount. One year later i have been turned over to collection agency for non payment. They cashed check for the last bill in 2005. Cingular rep. Now tells they have no idea why they are listed on this report with LDG. This is affecting my credit at this time. I am retired and on limited income i do not need this unjust report on my credit rating. Cell phone companies need to be regulated by federal law. WHY ARE THEY NOT??? Every time you do something on your current plan they start you over on a new 2 year contract. And you loose all minutes you have built up for carryover.
