The reports about Allsat selling a product that does not work is true. I have filed a formal complain with the Missouri attorney general office (confirmation number 11416), the Springfield Better Business Bureau (case # 107181), and will be filling formal complaints with Dish Network about the company. They sold me an unwatchable TV picture, that their technicians came out on several occasions to repair and deemed it un-repairable and unwatchable (work order 85382175200003015,85382175200005013).

Allsat still expected me to honor their 18 month contract, paying them every month, even though they could not provide the service. This doesn't seem to be uncommon behavior for this company as they have several, SEVERAL, BBB complaints.

I tried calling Allsat to have them negate the contract (January) due to the incapability of their technicians to fix the issue. But they insisted on being paid although they couldn't provide the product of satellite television service (I gave them 2 months to fix the problems).

I then proceeded to mail them 3 certified letters (via US mail, accepted by Scott Stufflebam twice and Ben Solberg once owner') trying again to rectify the issue no response again! As a courtesy to Ben Solberg I gave him a phone call, left a voice mail, and ask him to call me back about this issue 9-20. Still no word back, he will not even acknowledge his companies failed responsibilities.

I'm sure this company has serviced several household around the US successfully but be advised if the product you get from them does not work (even if it is their fault) you will need to know how to protect yourself. Attached are a few tips if Allsat puts you in an unfair situation.

Make sure you document everything that happens with any correspondence with Allsat or any other parties.
Contact all three credit bureau and let then know that you may be a victim of fraud and to keep an eye on any reports from Allsat or their collections dept.
Contact the Sate of Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon immediately, make a consumer complaint, and let him know what is going on in his state and give him a fair chance to rectify the situation http://www.ago. Mo. Gov/divisions/consumerprotection.htm this is the key step that will get companies like Allsat to clean up their act and treat the consumer fairly.
Make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. But realize the BBB is more of a mediator then legal branch that can apply pressure. I counted 82 different inquiries in Allsat with the Missouri BBB (some good, some bad). But realize even with the good inquires a complaint had to be filed before they could resolve it!
Make sure you send a minimum of 3 certified letters to Allsat trying to rectify the issue. Keep the documentation, because if Allsat doesn't respond the credit agencies should honor your good faith attempt and not list any money they are trying to get from you on your credit report.
Don't be afraid to call your congressional delegates in the house or the senate.
And the easiest way to protect yourself from Allsat. Just go to Dish Network directly http://www.dishnetwork.com! You don't even have to mess around with a 3 party vender like Allsat.
