Ripoff misrepresentation, lied about accepting cancellation. Lost $4000.00

I was assured by the high pressure sales woman that I could cancel within three days, the "deal" was only good right that day, even though I wanted time to think about it.

When I cancelled with in the three days by phone the sales woman was not in but the receptionist was very helpful and assured me three times that the cancellation was completed "she had taken care of it". A WEEK later I received a phone call from the sales woman "so sorry but because I did not cancel in writing it was NOT acceptable".

Apparently the contract states in little writing that no oral agreements or representations supersede the contract (if I understand this it means the representatives can say what ever they want - it does not have to be true and has nothing to do with the contract).

Why was the cancellation "method" not mentioned to me in three direct conversations about cancelling? Why was I assured it was cancelled and I even asked for the womans name to verify the cancellation. Now she says she did not speak to me. I have a phone bill that shows the call was placed.

I was tricked.

Since this occurance I have been told by two other people who also were ripped off that they could not get proper assistance from the service and were set up with people who did not match any of their criteria, including someone that did not even speak the same language.

I am being advised by an attorney regarding this deception.
