Prior to completing the registration for this website I called "Sunshine Readers INC" at 1866 227-5088 to cancel my [commitment] subscription that I had supposedly made back in May of this year. Speaking to the customer support representative, who told me that I could not cancel my subscription due to the fact that I had "committed" to a "contract" to pay $29.90 for 30 months for a 60 month subscription to 5 magazines.

He then told me that "if [I] want [he] could pull up the conversation that [they] had pre-recorded" on the day of the initiation. I agreed and awaited for the "five minutes" that he said it should take.

When I began listening attentively to the message in order to understand every detail of it, I thought to myself how much clearer that the voice recording had been over the conversation that I had with the raspy-voiced man that I first spoke to through my cell phone (which I too believe, like someone has mentioned in a similar complaint, that they should not have been able to contact [legally] due to FCC Federal Communications Commission regulations).

In the recording I specifically heard the man say that I had three days to "rescind" (in their pronounciation "re-send") my confirmation letter that I would receive over the mail to sign and cancel my subscription. However, during those three (3) "grace-period" days my phone was stolen with of course, their phone number-my only way to contact them besides this "confirmation" letter.

So, during those three days I did not receive this confirmation letter nor my reported-stolen-phone. And for those two subjects I never received either one of them.

Once the voice recording finished I questioned about the committment to thirty payments of 29.90 (supposedly a discounted price compaired to the initial 49.90 that current subscriber pay), the confirmation letter that I was suppose to sign to clarify this subscripion or in the customer support representative's words my form of way to "rescind" (re-send) the agreement, a "Men's watch" that I was also suppose to receive as a special gift, and most definently, any way I could cancel my subscription.

For the thirty payments, he kept repeating that I "had to" pay for them. For the confirmation letter he told me that another COPY would be sent out for JUST my records, but not to be able to "rescind" (re-send) my subscription clarification. For the men's watch he said he "recently" just checked the records to see if I had received the item and, of course I had not. So he sent one out. And lastly, for the subscription portion, there was NO way I could cancel it until I have paid off my 30 payments for the 60-months (5-year) plan.

*sigh*... All I want to happen is be removed from this subscription-committment and be refunded for the three (3) months of $29.90 ($89.70) that I have paid for and not received a single one out of five magazines for. Thank You.
