Won't refund cancellation fees and modem charges for returned equipment. Ripoff Groveport Ohio

I set up an account with Vonage and cancelled it two days later. They had sent the modem so I was told to return it with an RA number. I had the package tracked by US Postal Svc and have the tracking statement showing their receipt. After one month they have still not returned my money.

I cancelled their service two days after signing up due to stories about their lack of service and downright fraud in these circumstances. They make it very difficult to get your money back through their normal channels once they have stolen it. This was to be a free trial offer and they've charged me over $80 which they won't return.

I refuse to deal with them by phone any longer as they systematically cut off and port calls concerning refunds and service cancellation to voice mail. They made two separate charges to my credit card, one for the modem and one as a cancellation fee and I'm disputing them both with my credit card company.

Please do not give this company a try as their "Free Trial Offer" will cost you over $80 and you WILL not get them to return your money. They've been nothing but a headache and i never even used their service. I'm lucky, once they have your phone number ported to their system you're really going to have a hrad time getting things straight.
