I have been charged on my ATT phonebill (formerly SBC) by a company called Enhanced Services Billing, Inc. (ESBI) for two months of services totaling $59.45. The charges are listed as $14.95 from a company called Residental Email for residental email and $12.95 a month from a company called Nationwide Assist for an emergency vmail fee. These are for services I never authorized.

I contacted ATT and they're going to credit my bill, but wanted me to contact ESBI. Upon calling the ESBI, they informed me that they were only the biller and gave me the phone numbers to Residental Email and Nationwide Assist.

I contacted Residental Email, and they agreed to cease billing me and credit any charges, but told me I would have to call them for every month the service shows up. I only had the April bill in front of me, but it was also billed on my March bill. I said, "if I am your "supposed" customer, why don't you know what's on my bill and what to credit my account". I received no answer to the question other than I would have to call back. They wanted my email address to send a confirmation of the credit I was going to receive.

I refused to provide them with my email address, and asked for a copy of the credit via postal mail. I was informed they do not send credit confirmations in the mail, and I would have to wait two months to see the credit on my phone bill. I requested how they were authorized to charge for this service and they said the information came from a company called CoolSavings.com.

I did remember signing up for CoolSavings (a internet coupon savings/telemarketer) to acquire some grocery coupons, but I never authorized a change to my office fax line. I mentioned I was going to file an complaint with the FCC, because I believed my phone had been slammed. The CSR at this point told me that would not be necessary, because she put a block on my phone (though I was under the assumption that my phone already had a slamming protection order in place) and I would get credited the unauthorized charges.

My next call was to CoolSaving at (312) 224-5000 to inquire why they gave my name to this company? The CSR is having a manager contact me tomorrow to discuss further any connection they have with this company. I unsubscibed to CoolSavings quite awhile ago because of all the solicitations I was receiving.

I have contacted Nationwide Assist twice at (800) 430-6314, but they appear to not work until 5:00 P.M. EST, as their voice message indicates. I will continue to try to reach them.

Upon trying to find out who Nationwide Assist was, I drew a blank except for a mention on a list affiliating them with American Premium Warehouse. When I Googled APW it brought up the complaint site.

At this point I have no actual proof that they are affiliated with American Premium Warehouse or Integrtel Billing Resources, but I have a hunch somehow they're connected. I was hoping you could share with me any information you may have and clarify if there is, in fact, an affliation. I am prepared to file whatever forms necessary to get these deceptive practiced stopped. Once I have enough supporting details, I will be filing my complaint with the FCC, the Illinois Attorney General's office, and anyone else who might be a position to stop this abuse.

Thank you very much for your assistance. I look forward to dealing with these disgusting low lifes. Preying on innocent victims for financial gain puts these companies at the bottom of the barrel, and they must be stopped.
