Ripoff liars hoax scam unprofessional aggressive

I was contacted by someone at Platinum Television trying to feature our company on their Great Tastes TV show. We did our research, and their website seemed professional and thorough, so we decided to proceed with a second sales call that was to take place in a week. As the public relations director for our company, I thought this would be a great idea. Never did anyone mention paying for services up to this point.

The second call came a week later from Robert Posner, "creative director for Great Tastes." After about 40 minutes on the phone, I realized I was being finagled into purchasing air time on this particular program. As soon as I realized that our "creative meeting" was really a long, drawn out sales pitch, I was on alert. Then the question came, "Is this something you would like to move forward with?" I did not say the word "yes" because I am aware of telemarketers who will record your conversation and dub that "yes" into a verbal agreement to proceed with services.

When I would not respond, Robert was angered. I told him I would have to think about it and that he should call me back.in the mean time, I read a little more about the company and all of the similar situations that have happened to other folks. He called back within the week, and I would not take his call. Then, he called again, on a back line, and he reached me. He immediately asked why I hadn't called him back.

I told him I had been busy all week, and that we were not interested. He got very angry with me over the phone and demanded I tell him when I was going to let him know of our intentions. I told him I was not obligated to do anything. He said, "When were you going to tell me you weren't interested?" I started to respond and before I could finish my sentence, he hung up on me! Stay away from these people! They have "shady" written all over them!
