After listening to the whole shpeal about how I am accepted and will receive my welcome packet I was asked if I wanted the gold or platinum membership which is $900. Or $600. When I said no to those, I was offered a $300. Memberhip and then finally the $100. One which I said yes to because they were also throwing in 3 $100.gift cards to Kravit jewelers. Then I found out from the Kravit jewelers web site that the gift cards are actually only good towards the purchase of an item three times the value of the gift card, meaning that it amounts to a 30% off coupon! After finding the articles on here and seeing this company is a scam I called back to cancel (2 business days later) and was told that he would check and call me back 15 minutes later. He called back and said they couldn't refund my money because my packet was already processed, but they could offer me an upgrade to a 5 year gold membership at no extra charge. They faxed me a letter saying that and "this letter is to certify that both parties are satisfied with the outcome and no further action will be taken." It asks for my signature to activate. I feel that this is also to get further evidence from me so they are not legally required to give me a refund. I called them back and was told again that they cannot refund my money. They said if I tried to dispute the charge with my credit card company they would play my recorded acceptance of the membership and it would be denied. Does anyone have any suggestions?
