Cingular Wireless
Replacement Warranty Phone Never Matched, Billed For Five Phones

Shops, Products, Services

Maybe someone here can point me in the right direction. I've been with AT&T/Cingular for almost 10 years. I have a good rate plan because of my job. (The people at the store at Lakeside Mall in Shelby Township, MI are fantastic).

I upgraded my phones (4) almost a year ago. My wife's phone died a few months after we got it. It was under warranty through Motorola. I called and they sent a replacement. I was told the return slip, for the old phone, would be sent within two weeks. I never received it. I started calling after two weeks. Both to Cingular and Motorola. No one could find a record of the new phone being a replacement. They show me having 5 phones for 4 numbers and I can't get anyone to help resolve this. I still have the old phone and the package the replacement came in. I went back and forth between the two every month for at least 6 months before I gave up. I was charged $99 for the replacement phone. I paid it because I wasn't getting anywhere with either customer service.

Has anyone had a similar problem and how did you resolve it?

I appreciate any help.
