Ripoff stole wifes wedding ring and ruby ring off dresse

Jewerly was stolen from our home while a Premier Communications tech was installing our Direct TV. The police were contacted, the jewerly was found outside our home in a spot in which the tech had hidden it. The tech did admit to stealing the jewerly and we pressed charges. Only to later find out that he was a felon and on probation at the time of the install. Premier Communications promised to call usthe next day, that took at least two weeks, and i contacted him. No explanation as to how this could happen or how they were going to prevent it in the future. After several phone calls made to Direct TV we finally cancelled the service. Five times direct tv said they where sorry and promised a call back from mgmt., five times I was blown off! They even tried to charge me $115 to cancel!

Our local news station did a report on it and P. Comm. Stated that he did have a background check and passed until the reporter confronted him, then he stated that his check hadn't come back yet. The tech called the station the next day and said that he put it on his application and that P. Comm. Was lying. When getting blown off by P. Comm. And direct tv how do you keep this from happening to somebody else, and how many other people had this happened to before us? Glad he wasn't a rapist or pedifile! But if he was P. Comm. Wouldn't have known! Help! Watch out for yourselves!
