Wal-Mart Becky - Manager ripoff unfair unposted return policy made up by store personnel

Big sign in customer service says all returns within 90 days with receipt are refunded. Cheerfully, want to make you happy return policy, Wal-mart.com return policy states 90 days, lists no exceptions for "holiday merchandise"

I tried to return some holiday bows/ornaments, new in box, sealed, unused within 90 days of my receipt date and was told that holiday merchandise had to be returned by 1/1/06.

When I asked why is there only 5 days to return "holiday merchandise" I was told thats the policy. When i pointed out the big sign that states 90 days for return i was told thats too bad. They don't want holiday merchandise.

The 1st clerk told me that Christmas merchandise had to be returned before Christmas. How ridiculous does that sound.

His manager corrected him and said, no it has to be returned by 1/1/06. There is a hand made sign underneath the large store printed sign that says "no longer accepting christmas merchandise"

I asked how a customer was to know when they put up that sign, there is no date on it. Why isn't the policy printed on the receipt= I was told they don't put a policy on their receipt because they can change them when they wish.

Another handmade sign was posted: no valentines merchandise returned after 2/14/06. You don't even get a day to return there. But at least they felt the need to spell out a date.

Do not purchase " holiday, seasonal or Christmas" merchandise at Wal-Mart if its defective or you can't use it you will never get your money back
