Verizon Wireless
Ripped off my new phone credit

Shops, Products, Services

I've been with Verizon for years. Several years ago, we purchased a phone for my wife on the share plan under my account. A few months ago, we got a new phone for her. Somehow, her line was switched to the master line.

When we purched her phone, I inquired about my new every two credit and was told I could use it to purchase myself a new phone. When I tried to purchase a phone this month, they said my wife used the credit.

I called the BBB and Nicolai, a very condescending fellow from Verizon corporate, called me back. He offered me $50 off a new phone if I signed another contract. Then he said, I signed something saying the lines were switched and I should read what I sign. When I looked at what I signed again, it didn't say anything about lines being switched. It was simply a new contract with my phone plan.

I explained that I didn't want to sign a new contract because the customer service is horrid and I'd like to have the termination fees waived. But his offer stood at $50 off a new phone with a two year contract. As if I wan't to go through this for two more years.

Good luck if you're a Verizon customer!
