Vector Marketing
Dishonest and not very loyal to reps

Shops, Products, Services

I work for Vector currently, but not for long. This company makes false claims to it's rep's about the products that they sell and in turn the rep's, unknowingly, tell these false claims to their clients. One of the first claim they make is that they are in several mags and articles praising their products and the company. I wrote down some of these supposed articles and where they could be found in my training. When I went to find these articles some of them didn't even exist, and please don't thing that I didn't try hard enough because I enlisted the help of one of the nations top ten business colleges librarians and research spechialists. Even this certified profetionals couldn't find them. Some of them I could find but Vector wasn't being totally honest about the articles. Most of them were just letters to the edditors and some of the rest were just journals talking about the theory of the business lay out, not their product. The ones I did find about the product didn't actually give it that high of praises.infact one of them didn't even rate it with the competitors because the products are not even close to being in the relm of high end cutlery.

One of the other lies they get their rep's to tell customers is about the quality of their products. The way the knives are made is called stamping. One big sheet of metal runs through a machine and a large stamper comes down and presses the form of the knife out of the sheet. This is how the cheap discount store knifes are made. The fine cutlery is made by injection molding, a prossess of injecting hot metal into a mold making a more solid, random particle, better balanced, and stronger knife. Another lie is about the type of metal used.

Vector makes the claim that they use the highest quality of steel in the making of their knives, High Carbon Surgical Stainless Steel. What they forget to mention is that their steel used is the grade 440A. This grade is not the best grade in it's class, 440C is and to really blow you away the best available to cutlery is High Grade Chrome-Molybednum Steel Alloy. Even though Cutco knives will work just fine for the average person it is by no means the best. Just look around on the web or email some of the worlds best chefs they will even tell you it is the best of the cheaply made knife sets and they would never consider using stamped knives.

I am tired of companies taking advantage of people. There is alot more I could comment on like my management not paying me and the people that I asked to help with flyering for the company. We are owed over three hundred dollars combined for our work hours delivered. This is all for another day though. Vector does work for some people but before you or your friends decide to work for Vector please do alittle research on this company and read some of the horror stories from others on different web pages, and look for the various and many law suits across the nation against Vector.
