Ripoff con

I contacted UPS on 9-19 to determine that they could deliver two packages to zip code 70005. This zip code is in Metairie, Louisiana. I was assured on all three occasions that I spoke to UPS customer service and on checking the website ups.com that this zip code was not on their list of undeliverable.

So I arranged for pickup of the packages to be shipped UPS ground to be delivered on Sept 22. I prepaid the shipping of $50.16 on these packages since I do not have an account with UPS. The packages were delivered back to my office on Sept 22.

When I called UPS to determine a settlement of my $50.16 I was informed that "They were sorry that I was misinformed by their customer service but I could not get a refund because of the natural disaster."

I feel that they conned me by assuring me on three different occasions and on the website information that they could deliver these packages. I would never have shipped the packages if they had not told me that they could be delivered.

If there is any place that I can forward this information to, please advise.
