Payment Made After 3 PM Cutoff Triggered $29 Late Fee

Capital One credit card company is nothing but a bunch of thieves. I pay my bill every month, on time, on their website. When it was due this month I paid it on the due date, but it was after 3:00pm. They charged me a $29 late fee for paying after 3:00pm. They should state on their website that it is considered late after 3:00pm. That $29 fee put me over the limit by $9 because they didn't apply my payment. Guess what I've never been over the limit, but I'll bet they charge me for an over the limit fee because they never posted my payment to the account and it's two days later than when I set up payment on their site. I checked my on-line banking and sure enough the money was deducted from my account the very next day. They are crooks. I immediately cancelled my account and will never deal with them again. The manager told me that I shouldn't have waited until the last minute to pay my bill. I told her I had an emergency and that my daughter was ill and had to go for a medical test. She said that's not her problem and that the late fee would stay on.
