Ripoff abused & mistreated deceptive company outlandish ripoff late fees victimized many consumers

I read a few rebuttals by employees of Direct Merchants Bank. They say to deal with it, pay the late fees of 39.00/mo. You wanted the card. They said DMB is particular about who they give credit to... YEAH, RIGHT! Is that why they sent us a pre-approved credit card in the mail? (we've had 2 bankruptcies) We used the card and paid the minimum payment on time all the time until one month DMB added some type of medical charge and it put us over the credit limit. I disputed this, (we did not apply for medical - we already had medical coverage). When I called DMB they were rude and the dispute made my next payment late, so I was charged a late fee on top of the over limit fee which also accumulated ANOTHER over the limit fee. It's ridiculous! I told them they needed to take all those charges off of the account since this was a DMB mistake in the billing department. They refused to do so... Sooo since then they have not received one RED cent from us. I tried to do right and deal with the problem but they won't admit to THEIR mistake and deduct the charges, so they blew it with me. If they don't care, why should I? I'm already in bankruptcy, are they going to ruin my credit?

Whatever happened to the good ole days when you had a 5-10 day grace period to make your payment (not everyone gets paid the same day of the month) Back then if you were late, a $5.00 fee was applied to your account. That was a REASONABLE penalty. Also. If you ever hit your credit limit your card would be refused. It might have been embarrassing to SOME people but HEY! That's better than having to pay DMB more money because they WANT you to go over the limit. I thought a limit was a limit! If they let me charge over my limit, why can't they raise my limit to begin with? They WANT you to go over the limit just so they can charge you that outrageous fee. And they wonder why people have such credit problems today. My family has gone thru some tragedies that caused our bankruptcies and I'm NOT apologizing for having to file 2 times...
S&happens! Until you live my life you cannot judge me! I will say, if you dolook down on me for bankruptcy, then more power to ya when someday you may have to file for it yourself... And believe me, you probably will eventually. No one keeps their great paying jobs for the rest of their lives anymore. Our companies screw us too. Merge, take-over - it's happening everywhere. You could be next Mr. Bill Collector of DMB. If DMB closes down what are you going to do? ANYTHING is possible, so don't think it can't happen to your DMB company too.
