Ripoff we should organize a class action suit

I read with interest Bryan's report of August 7th. It is exactly what has happened to me. About a month ago my service suddenly went down the toilet, when previously it was FINE. I can show four bars and calls will not go through, or calls fail repeatedly and then suddenly go through, or calls are dropped after 10 seconds.

Repeated complaints to customer don't-care service say, " Well, I know they are doing tower work in the area." BS. Then they say I have to get a new phone (I just bought this Motorola V-600 a year ago—expensive phone!) and was in Iraq until March, so hardly used it. They said I was only able now to use the ATT towers, and to use the Cingular towers I needed a new chip, which would not work with my phone.

They would have to sign me up with a new contract and sell me a new phone, but of COURSE would not match the old contract terms (850 minutes/month/$39). I hope we start a class action suit. They are nothing short of thieves.
