Ripoff Pay as Go Go is really a pre-paid phone card that expires in 30 days

Shops, Products, Services

The Pay as You Go phone is advertised as only being billed once you use it, according to two different payment plans. When you receive the phone, the brochure has a "fine-print" back page that states that you need to pre-pay the phone minutes, and that for a small prepaid amount, the minutes run out after thirty days. Any balance in the account is lost. Also, if the phone is not used for a short time, you lose the phone number and have to pay to have it reactivated.

We had hoped to have this as an emergency phone for elderly parents. It became clear that the "fine-print" did not match the advertising.
