Ripoff, damaged property ONG BRANCH

problem arouse on sat 4/16/05
subject: 24 ft round 13,500 gallon pool when i went into my yard to turn the hose on to finish filling my pool up with water i found that my backyard was under water and most of the water from the pool had leaked out.

When i called the contractor (after full payment was made for $2281 and $170 by certified personal check and job was not complete) i was told that it was highly unlikely that the pool was leaking and that it was just my ground that was water logged.

After telling him that half the water in the pool leaked out, the contractor seemed very disconcernd with this matter. He was insisting on not coming here until he was told that a stop payment was going to be placed on the checks (which we were unable to accomplish).

Once he was informed about the stop on check i was told that he would come to take down the pool. I informed him that would be tresspassing.

His workers showed up to look into the situation and upon their investigation they found that the liner was indeed leaking due to a hole that was caused by them during insallation.

That is when the contractor showed up at my home and told me that this happens all the time.

And he couldn't compensate me regarding the property damage to my grounds and the cost of the water that they had to drain from the pool around 7,250 gallons, to replace the liner.

Selling practices,
when estimate was given from contactor, i was promised my yard would be left in the same condition as it was found. Contractor is a liar!!!

I was told by him that his work was top of the line and i would be completely satisfied. Since i was not satisfied and my property has incrued extensive water damage i feel that i should be refunded a major portion of the money which was paid in advance prior to completion so that i can hire a landscaper to repair my yard.
