T-Mobile
Ripoff trapping customers into contracts

Shops, Products, Services

We had been customers fo r T-mobile for five years. When a phone would die or was lost we were always able to have it replaced for free because we were long term customers.

Last time our phones expired, both at the same time which was suspisous in itself, with the same symptoms, we went to have them replaced again. Obviously quality material here.

We were forced into signing up to a new contract under duress. They had changed their policy. And at that time they were working on the cell tower out here, we lost reception. So we called and complained, over two weeks. We kept getting promises of credits, all combined added up to over $200. What we got was one $50 credit.

As a month or two went by, we could not use our phones when we were in nearly line-of-sight from the tower, but, our friends could use their phones here off of the same tower. So we switched to a cell phone company here that we could use. Cingular. They have more minutes and less expense.

Now we are being hit with fees for canceling a contract we should never have been forced to agree to after five years.

If you are with T-Mobile and need to have your defective phone replaced, be careful. I would recommend finding another carrier rather than being forced against your will into another contract.
